Yong is an award-winning filmmaker whose works have screened at TIFF Student Showcase, Hot Docs, Montreal World Film Fest, CamFest and many others. His docu-fiction Leftover won 2014 the Toronto Film Critics Association Award and his latest short fiction SUN screened on Air Canada inflight entertainment system and is part of CBC Canadian Reflections programming (2017).
